Please support the cause of new digital scanners for Polk County Public Safety. The new equipment to monitor the digital system is over $500 per unit. It would not take long if everyone would donate. If you do not donate the Polk County Fire and Polk County Sheriffs Office dispatch will be gone in just a few short months.

9.22.09 Polk County radio system is about to be changed. Sprint/Nextel is rebanding Polk Countys trunked radio system. Polk County will no longer be broadcasting analog signals, everything will be digital just like the switch from TV a few months back. We are still a long way from the goal of raising enough money to purchase the digital scanners. We hope to have the new scanner/s in place before the switch takes place.
